Service Description
Celebrate with Estigma: Ikebana Picnic Event Join us to celebrate many more years of Estigma with a delightful picnic! We'll share fun experiences with flowers, toast to our journey, enjoy light snacks, and create our own Ikebana arrangements using seasonal flowers. What is Ikebana? Ikebana is the art of Japanese flower arrangement, a disciplined art form where nature and humanity come together. It brings life to flowers through careful arrangement. There are many Ikebana schools, ranging from traditional with strict rules to modern and contemporary, where creativity is encouraged within the framework of fundamental principles. In this class, we will learn the basic steps of Ikebana, including how to use the pin frog or kenzan, how to attach flowers and branches to the pin frog or kenzan, and how to work with asymmetry, movement, and negative space. Our Activity: We will do a relaxation exercise to introduce ourselves and connect with the natural surroundings. We will create a basic Ikebana arrangement focusing on asymmetry, movement, and negative space. Light snacks and drinks will be provided during the picnic. Afterward, we'll pack our arrangements into boxes, ready for transport. Materials Provided: Vase Pin frog or Kenzan Flowers Clippers You will take all materials home with you. Event Details: Date: Tuesday, August 20, 2024 Time: 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM Location: Central Park, entrance through Grand Army Plaza or in front of The Plaza Hotel facing the lake. *Ask us about other payment methods, You can pay in two installments: $100 now and the rest a week before the event. See you soon! ****Important Information: This event is limited to one person per registration. We kindly request that you refrain from bringing additional family members, friends, or pets. While they are welcome in the park, our event space is limited, and we need to focus on our activities. We appreciate your understanding.
Cancellation Policy
TERMS AND CONDITIONS Cancellations and Postponements Please note that payments made are non-refundable. Ensure you are able to attend before making your payment or purchase. Due to the nature of our business, we cannot make exceptions. If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your place to another person at your own expense. This transfer must be reported to Estigma Floral Designs at least one week before the event. If government restrictions or unforeseen circumstances (such as illness, death, acts of God, etc.) prevent Estigma Floral Designs from hosting the picnic, the event will be postponed to a later date. If we need to cancel the event completely, attendees will receive a full refund.
